Do I have to pay something for the transport company?

 

The transportation is included in the price of your order. If you have chose to pay by cash on delivery, you will have to pay for the transport company the full amount, plus the commission. If you have made a payment by card or bank transfer, you won’t have to pay nothing more.

What is the delivery period?

 

All the orders will be sent by express delivery service.

 

Under normal circumstances, any orders received before 17:00 hours will be dispatched on the next day. In such cases the delivery time will be 24h for Spain and 2 or 3 working days for all other destinations.

 

Since there are no deliveries during the weekend, to guarantee that your order reaches you in prime condition, the orders received on Friday are delivered the following Monday. Similarly, during the summer months, that is, from June to September orders that include refrigerated products are dispatched from Monday to Wednesday for Spanish destinations and Monday, Tuesday and Friday for all other destinations. Orders that do not include refrigerated products are dispatched from Monday to Friday all year round.

If you choose the payment by credit card the delivery period begins at the moment that we confirm the order. If the payment method is by bank transfer the time begins just from the date on that we get the swift.

How are the products delivered?

 

To guarantee a satisfactory experience from begin to end, we only work with reputable transport companies (Nacex for Spain and UPS for all European deliveries).

 

All consignments are suitably protected in cardboard boxes, and in case of fresh foods (cheeses, cold meats and so on) during the summer months, we use special isothermal packaging to guarantee that the products reach you in perfect condition.

What about product availability?

 

In theory, all of the products listed on our website are available, unless they are marked as ´not available´ on the product file. Take account of many of our products are hand-produced using traditional methods and as such, many of them have limited production. If the stock of a product has run out at the time you place your order and we have been unable to update this information on the website, we will contact you immediately to suggest a similar product or to refund the relevant amount. Is there any limit in the number of alcoholic drink bottles that I can buy?

 

Only for deliveries outside Spain. In this case, the law establishes that alcoholic drinks can be imported as long as they are for personal consumption. In SaboresdelNorte.com it is limited to a maximum of 10 bottles per order. There is no limit for deliveries to Spain.

May I send my purchase as a present?

 

Of course. All you have to do is select the option "Special for present" at each product or ‘Gift-wrap my order‘ at the final stage of the purchase, prior to making the payment. We will ask you to fill the name of the person to who it must be sent in as well as the delivery address, if this differs from the invoicing address. You will also be able to write a personal message, which we will print on a smart card and enclose in the package.

Where are your products dispatched from?

 

All our products are dispatched from our warehouse in León. The promoters, the products, and the craftsmen come from the North of Spain, from Asturias and Leon.

If a product arrives damaged as a result of transport, we will send you a new product or will refund the relevant amount on the same credit card you used for the payment.
